Virtual Card Set 2013 – Change Now!

Yesterday, you saw the awesome new Captain Ginyu but there’s a little bit of story behind the image. In most cases, we’ll pull the images from the Dragon Ball Wiki page but there are occasions where we have to capture the image ourselves when we can’t find an appropriate (or appropriately cool) image. This was the case with Ginyu as Goku. There are a few images out there, but not many look to good. This turned into a case for us to do our own image capturing, but it soon became apparent why there were no good images out there: the episode has terrible animation quality for a good half of it, even the Dragon Ball Z Kai version. So we ended up finding a few good images (including the one used as the feature image for the story) that could work, and ultimately decided on the one you saw yesterday. But we did have another really good candidate that we ended up having to get some outside input on. We eventually turned the image down, but you might see it again in the future on another card. In the meantime, here’s a cool alt art image for Captain Ginyu Lv. 3.

14b Captain Ginyu Lv. 3And yes, it’s fully legal to play. Since we allow proxies, you are free to change the images around or make your own cards, so long as they don’t alter the text of the original card in any way. And any cards that need peripheral info, like Outburst Drill or Megaton Bull Crusher, will of course default to the original version (but if you play cards like that, it would be good etiquette to retain all the necessary info on the cards you are proxying).

That’s it for today, check back tomorrow when we reveal a new level one for a Ginyu Force member that already has two.

Later, BroZ!
