Namekian Hybrid Defense: Card of the Week 10

Greetings Dragon Ballers, Didier here with Week 10 of my PanZ Card of the Week. Things are really heating up with Set 2 around the corner! As always, subscribe to my YouTube channel to catch this early on Tuesdays or keep checking back here for it on Saturday mornings.

This week I’m reviewing my second block (Ah…I reminisce about the first), Namekian Hybrid Defense:

Blocks

Damage Reduction – Potential to reduce incoming damage

Effect – An overview of the card’s effect and its strengths and weaknesses

Combo Potential – How it combos with other cards in the game

U087 Namekian Hybrid Defense

 Namekian Hybrid Defense

Damage Reduction: 4.5/5

  • +1 Stops any attack! It’s useful against all decks and with an absence of focused attacks it’s even better.
  • +1 Rejuvenate 1-4 cards back in your life deck? Yes Please! Factor in Endurance and suddenly you can absorb 2 or 3 attacks.
  • -1 It is an event and can be sphere’d. Heroic and Villainous Energy Spheres are becoming much more crucial in Set 2.

Effect 4.5/5

  • +1 Cherry picking cards to rejuv/shuffle in your discard pile is a very unique effect. Namekian has an ace with this card.
  • +1 You can choose cards you would like to draw late in the game when your life deck is getting thin.
  • -1 If playing Black or a deck that run’s a lot of DP removal your choices can be limited.

Combo Potential: 5.0/5

  • +1 Cards like Namekian Knee Block, Silencing, Flinch can easily be picked and rejuvenated in the perfect situation.
  • +1 Namekian Palm Shots and Namekian Overtime lets you choose one of those cards to draw!
  • +1 Since it doesn’t remove itself from the game, the infinite wall of defense is real with Finger Lasers and Side Kick.

Total: 14.0/15

This card will be in Namekian decks long after set 2. most likely for the rest of this game. You’re crazy if you don’t play Namekian Hybrid Defense!

Tune in next week for Orange style. Have an idea on what Orange style card I should review? Let me know!
