Red City Destruction PanZ: Card of the Week 12

Greetings Dragon Ballers, Didier here with Week 12 of my PanZ Card of the Week. I can’t wait to open my Set 2 packs! Ryan and I will be coming out with a ton of content in the coming weeks so tune in. As always, subscribe to my YouTube channel to catch this early on Tuesdays or keep checking back here for it on Saturday mornings.

This week I’m reviewing one of my favorites from Heroes & Villains, Red City Destruction:

Events

Offense – Potential for damage or anger gain.

Defense – Prevent incoming damage or opponent’s effects.

Combo Potential – How it combos with other cards in the game.

U89 Red City Destruction

Offense: 3.5/5

  • +1 An automatic critical means free anger! Save the crit for an ally at the right moment, dragon ball, or anger reduction when your opponent least expects it.
  • +1 Red Heating Beams is a free card! Both Red Stomach Dive and Red Palm Strike give head shots left and right. The more effects you use, the more anger you get.
  • -1 Offensively, you must have other cards to make any real use of this.

Defense: 4.5/5

  • +1 While some decks solely rely on critical damage for anti-anger, every deck will miss it. Let the damage roll in and keep all your anger.
  • +1 Red Club is the endurance you wish you had. Red Back Kick and Shielded Strike can negate tons of damage with a reasonable cost! Red drill decks. It’s a thing.
  • -1 It’s an Event card so it will take a phase in combat, your opponent has some time. Every effect must wait its turn.

Combo Potential: 4.0/5

  • +1 Run the train on your opponent by activating all your effects until the start of your next turn. Both offensive and defensive!
  • +1 Red Heel Kick for free into any other card with an amazing effect.
  • -1 This card makes it easier for you to combo, but it does not start or push your combo forward. Explosion? Catalyst?

Total: 12.0/15

This card will fuel a specific Red archetype and have entire decks built around it. They really brought themes from Set 1 together, play Red City Destruction!

Tune in next week for Saiyan style. Have an idea on what Saiyan style card I should review? Let me know!
