The last of the Android themed virtual cards is here. Giving aid to the “gimmick” ally deck type, we felt that we needed to give an archetype like Androids the same treatment that Chi-Chi the Grandmother gives to a non-archetype like non-Saiyan Saiyan ally (confusing, huh?). In the same style as Chi-Chi, we made Android Apocalypse Drill. As a drill it won’t be as effective as a constant combat power, but it gives the Androids something a little better than the heroes-only Jewel ally or running something like Save or Goku’s Quick Save!
That concludes the Androids. We are going to try and catch up on the virtual cards and playtesting in the coming weeks, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t see anything next week. Later, BroZ!
will this affect costs as well? i.e., cards that require you to discard allies as a cost.
It’s the same wording as Chi-Chi the Grandmother, so it would work the same way as any rulings made for her. I would say that you can’t pay costs that would require you to discard/remove allies affected by Android Apocalypse Drill, similar to Drills under the affect of Orange Focusing Drill and costs associated with that (Orange Vegeta’s Assault).
Oh, I bet you mean the “card effects” part. Yeah, we might have to remove that part to avoid confusion. Our intention for this Drill was for it to work the same way as Chi-Chi the Grandmother.
Thats funny, we just made this card as well for the OCG game.
yeah. word it like chichi/freestyle mastery and a lot of the confusion goes away. good stuff
