Thanks to some external playtesting, a definitive and consistent infinite loop was proven with the Tapion personality, specifically the level 4. As such, the level 4 power has been errata’d and will be played as follows.
Special thanks to Nick Glaser, Fresko, Joel Glasser and Danny Rider who sent in full decklists of Tapion. We will continue to monitor the cards to see if any other issues arise. Later, BroZ!
Yet no thanks for me who actually saw the combo with him first.
Good to see he got changed though. Thanks for listening to the community.
So now he only gains 1 anger instead of 2? Really, that’s it? Alright, it’s your game. Enjoy.
It also removes the card after use. Get off your high horse and read the card before talking out of your ass.
Wow. I even took 5 minutes reading each card side by side before that comment of mine. My bad.
Excellent errata. Well done.
Really, even trying to take credit for discovering it is silly. It was pretty obvious to anyone who can string thoughts together.
The irony here is that while the original version was on the cusp of playability due to the combo, now Tapion is mediocre to bad. It certainly won’t crack any theoretical and permanently non-existent and irrelevant tier one lists.
This kinda falls in line with what we are trying to accomplish though. We aren’t trying to redefine the meta, just add something new to our annual event.
Because only the level 5 is broken.
Looks much better. I really enjoy trunks sword and i think tapion will share that love with other people as well. I think sword lovers will choose either or when making a sword deck, you dont get all the benefits that trunks get but you have nasty powers. I like it though.
