Frieza is THE villain of DBZ. Period. He sent the Saiyans the Earth. He ravaged Namek. He instigated the first Super Saiyan transformations. There may have been more power villains afterwards, but Frieza was easily the most influential. Unfortunately, he was neither powerful nor influential in the CCG. He had some decent named cards, but his personalities stunk! His level four is one of the worst personality cards in the game! He has five different level one cards, two level two cards, and one each of level three and four. At first we tried to make a level 1-5 for Frieza, but decided to take a step back from that. We settled with patching the holes where he was weak, specifically levels two and four.
As you can see, we continued with the same theme his CCPP Level One has. We reasoned that was the most useful and thematic of his Level One personalities, and wanted to continue along that line of play. After all, Frieza already has some deadly leveling potential with Frieza’s Irritation Grows and Frieza’s Anger Blast already. Here’s just a little something to make that prospect more enticing.
And if you prefer the Dragon Ball themed Frieza personalities, you won’t want to miss the level four reveal this Wednesday. Later BroZ!
If by Frieza you mean Vegeta, then yay! =p
Quick question regarding Frieza L1; can you use his power to infinitely regenerate providing that all cards in the discard pile are Frieza named cards?
No. Rejuvenation only occurs once, any other cards shuffled in are from Frieza’s card effect.
But doesn’t his power occur during the rejuvenation step? So like if you were to regenerate a Frieza named card with something like regeneration drill shouldn’t his power activate? His power doesn’t specify a method that must be used to regenerate, it just states which step it must occur in.
If you want to get really technical, then another way to put it is the first part of his power triggers when you “place” a card into your Life Deck, while the second part has you “shuffle”.
I would actually think that you could use it multiple times, just not combo it off itself.
So if I used Watching From Afar, and at least 1 of the cards I shuffled back was frieza named, in theory I should be able to shuffle back 1 additional card from his power triggering.
I think that may be the only instance in the game where it would work, and it’s hardly powerful, but an interesting thought if it’s true.
Interesting… I hadn’t looked into that before. I think ‘Watching from Afar’ wouldn’t trigger it since technically you are ‘shuffling’ and not ‘placing’, but suppose Orange MBS mastery is placing your top drill, Frieza’s Influencing Drill, on the bottom of your life deck – you should be able to shuffle the bottom card.
I was thinking Peaceful Times and Taking a Break might trigger it as well, but neither of those are used in the Rejuvination step.
