Originally we were done with the Frieza support with the virtual set and were going to wait until next year to expand on that. However, we opened up to the community a chance to help us design a card for the Virtual Set during one of our live streams. This was the card they came up with.
Chilled is Frieza’s ancestor from “Episode of Bardock” who passes down the legend of the Super Saiyan to his descendants. As such his power reflects his warning, allowing Frieza, King Cold and all forms of Cooler to be better prepared against their foes. He’s like a Black Smoothness Drill that can be fetched on turn one with South Kai Sensei! Not a bad way to start the game when Saiyans typically get a few extra cards every turn.
This is the last week for Virtual Cards, so get ready for the second to last card on Wednesday. Later BroZ!
I’m glad to see this guy has a useful power!!! Typically Frieza, and the PTO aren’t that great but this can help make them a little better!!!!
i like it A LOT! king cold just became usable!
I really like King Cold. There’s a ton of stuff you can do with him, and many of his powers aren’t too shabby. It’s just that, like about 90% of all the other unplayed personalities, there are personalities that can pretty much do anything that he can do, but better. I hope Chiller gives him, Frieza and Cooler the push they so desperately need.
Agreed, I loved black king cold for the longest time. But I do have a question, does his power stack w/ black smoothness drill in play? So hypothetically you can keep 3 cards in your hand during the end phase?
Also will all virtual cards be legal to play @ gencon? I’m sure I’ve read the answer to this before but just to double check please and thanks.
Great card all around, maybe we even c some blue cooler decks @ gencon since they could actually keep up w/ this guy out
The official ruling is that Chiller does NOT stack with Black Smoothness Drill.
All Retro DBZ CCG Virtual Cards are legal for Gen Con. Virtual cards made by Score Entertainment or other parties are not.
Lol well that sux, I figured it would since bsd didn’t get it’s wording changed until gt. o well, still a nice card
So im sort of new here and I just joined on FB since I found this site. This was my fav card game when it was being released, and I just have a quick question, what are these virtual cards that you guys put up? I know theres a way to play online, I havent looked at that yet so are these cards only put into the online ccg database? Is there a way to look at all the cards in the online database? These might be stupid questions sorry but I would love to get back into the game if there is a way to play online.
You can get images for all the CCG cards in the Card Images page here on the retro site:

You can also go to http://dragonballzocg.com
There’s a patch for Score’s games (Z, GT, and Expanded) that you can download and run through a virtual CCG software called OCTGN. The deck editor within that software will allow you to look at and search through all the cards available from the patches (which only consist of the cards actually released by Score).
Currently, I don’t think the virtual cards here on retro have been put into a patch for OCTGN nor should there be any way to look through them all outside the ‘Card Images’ page here.
Welcome back. =)
Chippy
ok, now lets see some super sayian bardock action
Can u get me a link to where I can watch that? Please. I’ve been trying to find it
It’s on YouTube. Just search for “Episode of Bardock”.
I’ve never even heard of this guy before, but I really like his power. It makes me want to try and build a deck with Cooler. Blue ally/energy beatdown, maybe?
Also, I just wanted to say good job with this website as a whole. I recently stumbled upon it after not playing the DBZ/GT CCG for years and its definitely rekindled my interest in the game. I’ll have to bust out the old cards and see if I can get my friends to play again.
