JustSaiyan.com AKA Retro DBZ is expanding by adding a few new games. You may have even noticed the tab that says Score Games in the upper-right corner that’s been there for the last few weeks. We plan to start adding more games and content to the site, as you already saw last week with the Dark Knight Rises review. For now, we have only listed up Score Entertainment games, but I wouldn’t be surprised if games popular among our users, like the Resident Evil Deck Building Game, popped up at some point.
For now, we only have a few cards up in the Inu Yasha section, since of course that game was designed by Retro DBZ Founder Garrett in the Hat. We have other images as well, but seeing as it’s a long and tedious process to put them up, it will be a gradual thing as our time allows.
Later BroZ!
Theres already a site with all the Hakusho Cards in the game on it.. and im sure they would not mind in the slightest if you guys barrowed them.
Yup I would definitely like to see a YYH part of the site, and VS system in the future.
VS system for sure. I still play that game regularly with some friends here in Rockford, IL. We always have deck ready to go. It was the game i went to after the whole GT thing. Too bad Upper Deck didn’t think the same.
VS was fun until the 3rd set/2nd expansion. The whole “we’re going to design horizontally instead of vertically” really killed much of their momentum.
Coming from someone that got to see the “behind the scenes” of VS, surprised they did as well as they did. And you thought Score made some pretty terrible decisions… But, when you take into account that pretty much the entire design team came from “Your Move Games”, all ex-Magic Junkies, all wanting to make the next Magic, and “any philosophy that doesn’t work in Magic just doesn’t work period”, and you can start to see why they made certain decisions.
Not the worst game, and I really enjoyed it for the first 2 sets. A shame, really.

Didn’t know your went to work for UD after Score. Would be cool to get your side of what could’ve made VS a better game. I loved how they tried to make each team feel like how they acted/portrayed in the comics. Even though they did overpower some teams (TT for one). And what did you mean by “We’re going to design horizontally instead of vertically”?
Shoot, I’m bringing a few VS decks with me to play a few pick up games when the DBZ tourney is over if anyone wants to play a few.
Biggest 2 things would be to design vertically (after the 2nd set, you had at least 8 teams. Keep building on those and make cards for all of those decks. Don’t come out with 4 new teams each set and maybe a single card for the other teams in your game, if that…) and make 1 + 3 = 4.

VS Math is Terrible
Yeah that’s definitely true, it took them a LONG time to come around to the same teams again, or if you were lucky you’d get 1-2 cards in every OTHER set (since they alternated Marvel & DC) to support/change the team dynamic.
What I can truly say about VS is that for someone that never played MTG, it taught me a lot of good game skills that DBZ, for one reason or another, didn’t. Whether they were things that weren’t relevant on the surface of DBZ, or maybe simply not in tune with the game design. VS really taught me the ‘chess’ of the games, how to plan out a combat step based on your opponent’s perceived next moves, odds, etc.
I definitely became a better CCG player after playing VS with some low level success!
Yeah i agree with DBM playing made me a better CCG play and game player overall.
We’ll have to get Inyu on OCTGN sometime, It’s such a fun game.
Needs more Case Closed.
