So far, we’ve seen Baba able to tackle all kinds of decks with non-combat hate, defense and anti-anger. But mill has an inherent weakness against Dragon Ball decks, since any Dragon Ball that gets milled immediately gets placed at the bottom of the deck. In fact, one could simply let Baba draw out of cards if they just kept the seven Dragon Balls in their deck and never played them. Well, the last Celestial Fighter that will be revealed will help against that, but the focus of this mysterious fighter is to help against decks that actively try to play out their Dragon Balls.
Old Gramps here helps to hold back a quick Ball victory. Unfortunately Baba can’t use things like Gohan’s Kick to keep ball in combat (though she can use Breakthrough Drill), but Grandpa Gohan should help against a quick victory if you enter combat with him. Plus, he gets around things like Goku’s Capturing Drill. Not a bad ally, even worth considering as a one-shot ally in non-Baba decks.
That’s it for this week, check back on Monday for the final Celestial “Fighter” who’ll help Baba delegate all the mill going about. Later BroZ!
Interesting effect. Would be neater if it was any DB in play, but I can see there possibly being some infinite loop. Props for a good idea, though.
BTW, why the extra effect for EDB4? You wouldn’t be able to use this power until you are in Combat, which EDB4 would have been “finished” anyways. I guess maybe incentive to actually push EDB4 back in?
Chippy
Chris Smith is correct. It is flavor, since Goku refers to DB4 as his Grandpa throughout the show.
I believe Grandpa Gohan’s “spirit” has always been tied to EDB4. I don’t remember dragonball that much. Except for the whole “No Balls” thing between Goku and Bulma.
Which could lead into a new Bulma named card. >:D
