This is the last of the Celestial Fighters for Baba. While not necessarily a fighter, he does have an important job to do when it comes to being Baba’s assistant.
This guy is like Baba’s own personal reverse Welcome Home Drill, but with a powerful twist. Like Hero’s Drill, Ghost Usher removes cards off the opponent’s life deck from the game, indiscriminately. This means he can affect Dragon Balls. It’s no longer a safe strategy to let yourself be milled then lay out all your Dragon Balls or simply wait for a survival victory. Ghost Usher puts pressure on the opponent, especially against Dragon Ball decks and in tandem with Grandpa Gohan.
It should also be pointed out that while Ghost Usher’s power is always active during combat, unlike the other Celestial Fighters that Baba has at her disposal this one cannot take over combat at will unless your Main Personality is at zero or one power stage above zero.
That’s it for this preview. Check back on Wednesday when we reveal the final Baba themed card that will make her an incredible force to be reckoned with. Later, BroZ!
” It’s no longer a safe strategy to let yourself be milled then lay out all your Dragon Balls or simply wait for a survival victory.” Rats! Foiled Again!
Why the restriction of him taking control of Combat.
Very beefy card for this archtype, helps resolve a hole in the DB Mill situation. Very nice.
Chippy
We needed his CCP always active, so instead of just getting too wordy to let him both always be active AND take control of combat we just decided to let him do one. He’s a guy you want to stay in play though, so the others should more than make up for him.
