One of the best advantages that villains have is a freestyle anti-noncombat attack in the form of Android 19’s Energy Burst.
This card fits nicely in just about any deck, and automatically gets past things like the Majin Buu Saga Freestyle Mastery. Plus it’s the card you pray to draw against Orange or Black Drill-heavy decks, and can be searched out by Broly’s Evil Drill or the oft-used Android 13’s Prepared Stance. When I asked a few of the prominent players and past designers what they thought of a Heroes Only version of this card in the same vein as Confrontation and Android 18’s Stare Down, there was little in the way of objections. In fact the only concern raised was if we were going to push for a Villains Only Caught Off Guard Drill or a Heroes Only Cell’s Threatening Position, etc.. etc… The answer is no, this is the last “Hero/Villain Remake” we have planned.
So as you can see, this card shuffles a drill back rather than removing one from the game. It’s good for getting around the Majin Buu Saga Freestyle Mastery and can even maneuver around Orange Focusing Drill. The downside being, like all super heroes (except for the best hero ever created and some interpretations of Superman), Gohan as the Great Saiyaman does not kill his opponent’s. This means the Drill you put away could very well return to haunt you again (or ironically be discarded by the damage from the attack).
But on the plus side, you can actually target your own drills with this card, meaning you could have another go at naming something with Caught Off Guard Drill or perform some interesting combos with Champion Drill, provided that you had some interesting way to get it back into play.
That’s it for today, check back later this week when we reveal a new named card to make a Capsule Corps Power Pack character actually playable with his color theme.
Later, BroZ!
Meta-Cooler i would hope. He got jipped big time.
Preach it brotha

Probably my favorite thing about these two new hero cards is that you took a concept that works and copied it, but at the same time made them unique and thematic to heroes on their own. Great job.
At the same time, shuffling drills and allies in the few cards you guys have released is super powerful. I’d stray away from this effect a bit.
Pretty solid.
It’s Roshi.
yeah ok remove a drill and shuffle one back in…its pretty much the same but yeah whatever. i hate that heros get boned like this yeah i get it there heros and they should not do something thats “evil” but come on at least get on par remove is way better than shufle back in, if your opponent is using goku his lvl 1 and 4 can bring it right back out fast.
or you could champion drill, heroic deeds it back into your own deck, goku’s power strike it back into play, use it again, concentration for a battle meditation (drawing power strike and deeds), throw it in your life deck again, power strike it back out again, use it for a third time, fatherly advice for another deeds, mbs mastery it into play after deeds and use it for a fourth time in the same combat.
I get this scenario is highly conditional and unlikely, but before deeds it was literally impossible to think along these lines. Look deeper before you hate on it. I think it has far more potential than it’s villain counterpart.
lol, oops, kc doesn’t remove. forget almost everything I just said. 😛
The thing about the shuffle effect and why this card is so good is that there is only one barely playable card (Meta Cooler L1) that prevents effects that shuffle drills. Orange has a bunch of effects that prevent you from discarding/removing their drills and this card can punch right through them and hit exactly what you want, regardless of anything save it being COGD’d.
A situation that often came up for me was I would be playing some deck with drills and have a drill sweep card in my hand against Orange. So to hit them hard I would COGD Orange Focusing Drill only to be quickly countered with an opposing COGD on COGD itself. Smart move, but with this card I can get around everything, shuffle the COGD, and sweep their drills. It sounds specific, but it’s happened to me way more than once.
Sure, they can just play the drill again, but keep in mind that they are wasting that effect on getting their drill back. If you hadn’t shuffled it in they’d be getting a different drill and building even stronger field dominance. Drill removal is superior in many situations, but shuffling it is close to the same while being overall better against Orange, the drill deck to beat.
