I actually really liked the gold text idea… but their rules for including and excluding cards due to subtle word differences that only take common sense to comprehend is absurd. For instance your example is “removed from game vs banish”. It is obvious what was meant. They just need a system and mot pander to those that can’t understand the difference
Actually, for Orange Power Point, the difference is that the old Orange Power Point says “search your Life Deck for an Orange Styled Drill and place it into play”, whereas the new Orange Power Point says “search your Life Deck for a Styled Drill and place it into play”. For tournament legal play, this makes no difference. But, for Draft Tournaments, where the Mastery rule is not fully enforced (due to necessity), it does make a difference. I think that’s why it was taken off of the list.
For many of the others, it seems to be the difference between “Event” and “Combat”, or things like that. They don’t want new users to have to learn new terms.
Still, it seems like something they should have thought about BEFORE making some cards gold text. It seems entirely unfair to tell older players that all cards that have gold text can use the old cards, but then to exclude specific cards. That just makes it confusing for everybody involved.
Honestly, Namekian’s nerf doesn’t seem that big. It can only gain anger during combat and from the owner’s own card effects that allow him/her to rejuvenate or shuffle. Just seems like a minor change.
i felt the same way….until I played it post errata…at first glance it does seem like a ‘minor’ change…but then you play a few games and you realize that a ‘minor’ change nets you an entire level a game….it doesn’t make the deck un-competitive, but it definitely changes the way you have to play the deck…especially with the dragon balls…
I dont think that Vegeta was nerfed. I believe he was clarified and that he was always meant to be played this way. His wording is consistent with the ruling. If he was meant to be used with HIT effects, he would say “Your attacks that CAN raise your anger…” The wording may be a bit vague on Vegeta, but his original wording is correct for the ruling.
This isn’t a nerf, nothing was changed on him, this is a, “You’re playing it wrong”.
I just grow tired of these type ‘clarifications.’ I consider myself pretty on point when it comes to wording in this game, and there being confusion with me means there was probably confusion with others as well. It was probably too bold to call it a nerf, but hey, that’s my bro you’re talking about there 😛
id quit making the updated gold text leave whats there as the most current printing rule then id go through each score set and declare what cards are legal to play and to keep goku gohan and others in check don’t allow the score named cards a simple rule book for clarification such as non-combat cards that don’t have drill in the title are setups, cards that say remove from game are banished and dragon ball sets, sensei, locations, battle fields, lvl 5 personalities from score cant be used. you can use a personality with only 3 lvls except uub from score but you cant add a card to your deck to replace your lvl your just one lvl less. to avoid problems make a list of score characters you use as allies get rid of ally layover
1) I would get rid of anger victory its been a problem from day 1 of scores dbz ccg. 2) allies should be limited to how many are in play and how long they can be in play 3) red regin when they use endurance. 4) blue setups are rejuvenated after use 5) orange attacks that deal critical damage are shuffled back into the deck. 6) saiyan attacks that deal critical damage get the option to draw a card or shuffle a card with endurance back into the deck. 7) promo cards should be original and not copies of rare cards
