Saiyan Rescue PanZ: Card of the Week 13

Greetings Dragon Ballers, Didier here with Week 13 of my PanZ Card of the Week. Things are really picking up at Random Number Gaming! We just released our 4th H&V breakdown video, check it out here!  As always, subscribe to my YouTube channel to catch this early (now on Wednesdays!)  or keep scouting here for it on Saturdays.

This week I’m reviewing a card sure to mix things up for the style, Saiyan Rescue:

Events

Offense – Potential for damage or anger gain.

Defense – Prevent incoming damage or opponent’s effects.

Combo Potential – How it combos with other cards in the game.

U94 Saiyan Rescue

Offense: 2.5/5

  • +1 Giving 2 anger the first turn you play it and 1 anger each combat after, this card can net tons of anger when played early!
  • -1 Saiyan doesn’t have effects that activate when rejuvenated so this card only helps your Offense by leveling.
  • -1 If your MP is already level 4 or some effect stops you from gaining anger (Did somebody say wallbreaker?) it really falls short.

Defense: 4.0/5

  • +1 Place key cards back into your life deck to draw or endurance to survive. 4-10 cards a game! This may be the start of a rejuvenation Saiyan deck.
  • +1 You always have this option in combat. Effects like Orange Palm Blast can be easily countered, or just use it to bait him out!
  • -1 Late game this card won’t really help, it’s only 2 cards. You have to go through 3-5 combats to see its true power.

Combo Potential: 4.5/5

  • +1 Tutors like Saiyan Body Bow, Outrage, and Goku level 1 become easy to use when you can rejuvenate any card. ANY CARD!
  • +1 Saiyan Power Up has its choices doubled when you can rejuv the bottom card. Focused Assault for extra damage or a key counter!
  • -1 This card is kind of clunky to use in combat. It breaks your momentum. “Well…I’m rejuvenating this card now…”

Total: 11.0/15

We’re starting to see a lot of Saiyan control cards and I love it! I’m sure in the future, a slower Saiyan control beats will become a real threat!

Tune in next week for Freestyle. Have an idea on what Freestyle card I should review? Let me know!
