Black Foreshadowing: Card of the Week 15

Greetings Dragon Ballers, Didier here with Week 15 of my PanZ Card of the Week. This week is the third rotation of card of the week! Time sure does fly. As always, subscribe to my YouTube channel to catch this early (back on Tuesdays) or keep scouting here for it on the weekends.

This week I’m reviewing a card that is a forerunner in every Black control deck, Black Foreshadowing:

Events

Offense – Potential for damage or anger gain.

Defense – Prevent incoming damage or opponent’s effects.

Combo Potential – How it combos with other cards in the game.

U74 Black Foreshadowing

Offense: 4.0/5

  • +1 Destroy 3 cards easily and up to 7 cards without worrying about Endurance! Get around all his blocks and effects that modify attacks.
  • +1 Gaining stages means more damage on the AT chart and ensuring you have the stages you need to do that last energy.
  • -1 Just like with Black Reflection, this isn’t ideal when drawn early. X could only be one.

Defense: 4.5/5

  • +1 Endurance 3 is a highlight when you can take out critical damage alone. Adding 3 into your deck is almost like adding 12 cards!
  • +1 Taking damage from from physical attacks is rough. Reduce your opponent’s AT chart damage and absorb 1 or 2 physicals by gaining stages.
  • -1 Events events events. There are great answers for these like Saiyan Domination and I’m sure well see more.

Combo Potential: 3.5/5

  • +1 All of Black supports this card. It’s hard not to have Black Swipe or Interceptor Barrage in your deck, as well as Corruption can remove Dragon Balls!
  • -1 Outside of Black Chomp, Black doesn’t really modify passive milling. We want more!
  • -1 If your opponent overturns Dragon Balls for this, it saves them damage. We should get something! Oh Griping Drill…where are you?

Total: 12.0/15

Although this card isn’t actually damage, it’s unstoppable destruction of their deck. All Black Control, especially if you play energies, should consider this card. Who needs to attack? Play Black Foreshadowing!

Tune in next week for Blue Style. Have an idea on what Blue Style card I should review? Let me know!
