Kami’s Lv. 1 gets him warmed up for having plenty of Battlegrounds and Locations in play, but his level 2 and 3 really start to make you respect him as the Guardian of Earth (and all those locations within).
The good Kami giveth and the good Kami taketh away. All those Locations and Battlegrounds you can put into play, starting with the Lv. 2 you can lock your opponent out of those benefits. Sure, you can’t screw your opponent with a one sided City in Turmoil, but you can stack combat in your favor with your own personal Kami’s Floating Island and Protective Shelter. The combos with the Lv. 2 are endless, but the combos with the Lv. 3 are absolute! Kami essentially starts to use Locations/Battlegrounds as his non-combats, making cards like Gohan’s Nimbus Cloud and Gohan’s Braced Energy Beam awesome choices for the deck.
Don’t forget to pack a few Advanced Basics for an easy level up from the Level 1 once you have a good board setup! You may also consider running a Goku’s Farewell or two for the amazing win condition on Lv. 4!
Later, BroZ!
Not as big a fan of these ones. Most of the time I feel I would want my locations to affect my opponent.
Well, it does say both “may” and “up to”.
But your opponent’s battlegrounds won’t benefit him. Such as Middle of No Where, Tree of Might, Goku’s House, etc.
Although it does limit the usability of the character.
Don’t forget people, the last line in the article….”amazing win condition on Lv. 4!”
HmmmmmmmM
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Comet Kumolre kinda messes Kami’s whole niche.
Land in Pain or an opponent’s Namekian Door Explosion can be a pain as well.
Unless Kami Door Explosions his own locations so opponent is perma-f***ed by them all.
As mentioned in the previous article, NDE used by Kami will only affect one location/battleground per use. The prevention of allowing the opponent to play any more locations/battlegrounds still stands though.
These are starting to become aggressive, looking super fun. I wonder what that level four does.
